Ashkenaz Festival of New Yiddish Culture

The Ashkenaz Festival is the largest Jewish cultural event in Canada, and among the largest events of its kind internationally. The Festival takes place biennially at Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre and satellite locations throughout Toronto.

Bernard Betel Centre for Creative Living

The Bernard Betel Centre for Creative Living is a nonprofit seniors' centre in Toronto open to adults 55+ of any religious and cultural background. Its focus is to serve active, independent-living adults - participants in programs come and go on their own.

A community-based, charitable organization that offers a broad range of health and home support service options to improve well-being, independence and quality of life, and an alternative to institutional care.

CJMT - Jewish Moroccan Community of Toronto

Committee for Yiddish

Through educational, cultural and engagement programs, the Committee for Yiddish, UJA Federation fosters and promotes Yiddish language and culture - indeed the entire Ashkenaz tradition - as a vibrant part of contemporary Jewish life and as a vital link between the Jewish past and future.

Diller Team Leadership Program

The Diller Teen Fellows Program is UJA Federation of Greater Toronto’s premiere leadership development program for Jewish teens in grades 10 and 11. Now operating in 26 other communities in the United States, Canada, South Africa, Australia, England, Argentina, and Israel, the goal of the Diller program is to develop future generations of active, effective leaders with a strong Jewish identity, commitment to the Jewish people, respect for pluralism and love of Israel.

The House

Jews for Judaism

The PJ Library

PJ Library is a Jewish family engagement program that mails free, high-quality Jewish children's literature and music to families across the continent on a monthly basis. All families raising Jewish children from age six months of age through five, six, seven or eight years (depending on the community) are welcome to enroll.

Toronto Jewish Film Festival

UJA Disaster Relief Funds

When disaster strikes, the UJA is quick to respond. Past disasters include the Carmel fires, the earthquake in Haiti, Hurricane Katrina, etc.

UJA's Sarah and Chaim Neuberger Holocaust Education Centre

Through its museum and programs, the Sarah and Chaim Neuberger Holocaust Education Centre generates knowledge and understanding about the Holocaust and serves as a forum for dialogue about civil society for present and future generations.

Beit Halochem - Aid to Disabled Veterans of Isreal

Aid to Disabled Veterans of Israel, Beit Halochem Canada is an organization devoted to helping the more than 51,000 Israeli disabled veterans and victims of terrorism. After the injured leave the hospital they come to a Beit Halochem location, where they can receive specialized therapy and rehabilitation for the rest of their lives.

Chai Lifeline Canada

Chai Lifeline Canada is a not for profit organization dedicated to helping Canadian children suffering from serious illness as well as their family members. At Chai Lifeline Canada we are passionately devoted to alleviating the burden of those facing medical challenge. Forever Chai Foundation of Canada

An organization that gives children and their young mothers in crisis (abuse, neglect or abandonment), the hope and promise of a brighter future by providing funds to assist with their care through support for the Shabtai Levi Home in Haifa Israel- a non-denominational Emergency/Residential Centre.

Israel Tennis Centers Foundation

Through the discipline of tennis, the Israel Tennis Centers strive to improve the lives of children in one of the most conflicted regions of the world. By teaching the life skills of self-reliance, perseverance and focus, the ITC fosters sustainable values of self-esteem, character and tolerance, creating a positive imprint on the children,their families,the communities and the world for generations to come.

Koby Mandell Foundation – Camp Koby

The Koby Mandell Foundation provides initiatives that work to bridge the isolation that children and adults are struck with after the loss of a loved one. All programs provide emotional, physical, and spiritual healing that create a network of support for families in grief.

Leket Israel

Leket Israel is the largest food bank in Israel, and has been a leader and an expert in food rescue nationwide since 2003. The organization sources, collects and redistributes fresh, perishable, quality food, which would otherwise be considered waste, from farms, hotels, military bases and catering halls. 

Maccabi Canada

At Maccabi Canada we work to develop and promote a Jewish identity in our youth so they can become the future leaders of our community. We achieve our goal through the passion of sports. Through sport, Maccabi Canada connects with people who are not the typical audience reached by the way of other Jewish channels. Maccabi Canada is creating the "Maccabi Dream" by which every Jewish child will aspire to become an athlete and lead a healthy lifestyle. 

Mazon Canada

MAZON Canada is the national Jewish Response to Hunger. MAZON Canada raises funds primarily from within the Jewish community and distributes those funds, on a non-denominational basis, to Canadian organizations battling hunger on the front lines.

Meir Panim – Relief Centers in Israel

Meir Panim was established to offer a realistic solution to the growing poverty crisis in Israel that affects over one and a half million people across the country. Meir Panim is committed to provide both immediate and long-term relief to the impoverished of Israel - young and old alike - via its dynamic range of food and social service programs in distressed cities throughout Israel, all aimed at helping the needy with dignity and respect.

One Family Fund

One Family collects not only money, but all human resources for people who have suffered through terror attacks, connecting people in Israel with people in almost every country around the world. They volunteer time and money in order to help families of terror victims in every way. OneFamily works directly with the families, every day of the year.

Orr Shalom Children’s Homes

The American Friends of Orr Shalom supports Orr Shalom's Children's Homes in Israel. Orr Shalom's Children's Homes is a not-for-profit organization providing residential and therapeutic care to severely abused and neglected children, in a warm, loving family atmosphere.

P.O.M. - United

Essentially, we bring discharged IDF elite combat units who have undergone difficult battle situations to Canada for a week of intensive group therapy and bonding with the Jewish community who host them. The program is a 9 month long process where they have orientation and concluding sessions in Israel and then 3 month interval followups. We also offer individualized therapy for up to a year to those who require further attention. 

Save a Child's Heart

Save a Child's Heart provides life-saving heart surgery to children from all over the developing world. We also train doctors from those countries to be able to provide the same life-saving services. The cost to save a life of a child is $18,000. This allows us to bring the child over to Israel, provide pre and post operative care, and it allows the child to live comfortable in our children's home for the entirety of their stay.

Selah – Israel Crisis Management Centre

When trauma and grief strike, SELAH reaches out to Israel’s vulnerable population of immigrants. They provide compassionate support as well as financial and practical aid, to help immigrants cope with unexpected tragedy, both in an emergency and in the longer term.

Shaare Zedek Medical Centre

The Shaare Zedek Medical Center is the Jerusalem's only major, centrally located hospital, committed to the provision of top-level medical care for the city's diverse population through a highly compassionate and personalized approach.

Shoresh Jewish Environmental Programs

Shoresh is a grassroots Jewish environmental organization in Southern Ontario. We exist to nurture a regional Jewish community that sees environmental ethics as a core element of Jewish identity, and is actively committed to responsible stewardship of the earth.


Ve'ahavta is a Canadian humanitarian and relief organization, motivated by the Jewish value of Tzedakah (Justice), that assists the needy at home and abroad, through volunteerism, education, and acts of kindness, while building bridges between Jews and other peoples.
